Appendix(to
the contract)--- (English teacher)
The
employee¡¯s duties and obligations
1.The employee must abide by all the rules and the regulations
concerned about the management of foreign teachers and can¡¯t
get involved in any activities that may cause danger or enter
a place where an accident might happen. The employee should
act upon the above mentioned.
2.The employee should coordinate with the Foreign Language
College, working actively, accomplishing the task of teaching
and cultivating students seriously, coaching the students
in extracurricular activities and undertaking some other tasks
assigned by the employer, such as training teachers, giving
lectures with advance notice.
3.Each term, the employee should have a detailed teaching
plan which should be referred to the Foreign Language College
and the university dean¡¯s office separately for the record.
Meanwhile he should have a teaching plan for each period.(All
employees should have quick access to this information)
4.The employee should have less than 20 periods of English
each week (45 minutes per period) including extracurricular
activities. The employee will be paid 50 yuan per hour for
extra work.
5.The employee can¡¯t exchange or suspend lessons at will
during the working days, leave for business can¡¯t be more
than 3 days at a time. Otherwise the employer will cut his
monthly salary. During the working days the employee is allowed
3 days for sick leave, if the leave is more than 3 days, he
will be paid by 70% of the average salary of each day. If
the employee leaves his post without permission, the employer
will deduct his salary. The employer has the right to dismiss
the employee. If the situation is grave the employee will
pay the coming and the return train or plane tickets at his
own expense.
6.If the employee wants to leave the urban district, he must
contact with the co-teachers and inform the college Foreign
Affairs Office of his leave for the sake of his safety.
7.If the employee wants to attend a party of a mass organization
outside the college, he must get the permission of the employer.
The employee is allowed to be invited to give lectures or
attend the meetings of academic exchanges during their spare
time or holidays without discontinuing the normal teaching
work.
8.If the employee damages the facilities provided by the employer,
he will have to compensate the employer for the losses according
to the original price.
The employer¡¯s duties and obligations
The employer must guarantee the employee¡¯s basic working
and living conditions when working at college strictly according
to the related stipulations issued by the State Administration
of Foreign Experts Affairs, the Educational Department, and
the Financial Department of China. The employer is pledged
to do the following:
1. Provide the employee with an office and office facilities
for work free of charge, such as records, a video player,
a computer with DVD drive (broad abnd internet access), an
air conditioner, etc.
2. Supply each employee with furniture, bedding, a flat with
2 bedrooms and a living room, a telephone, a TV set, a fridge,
a washing machine and an air conditioner in it free of cost.
3. Provide the employee with water, electricity and gas free
of charge.
4. The employer should give each employee a salary of £¤ 4000
per month, a monthly fee of £¤50 for making telephone calls
and an annual fee of £¤2200 for sightseeing and an annual
fee of £¤150 for watching TV.
5. The employer should supply the employee with cars for going
to hospital and going on business ( within the limits of the
province ) free of expense if cars are not available the employer
will pay all the relevant expenses.
6. The employee can go the a doctor at the designated hospitals
and the monthly expense of medical treatment can be afforded
by the employer according to the invoices. However, in other
hospitals, all the medical treatment including registering,
dental care, keep-fit massage, face-lifting, having meals,
etc, in hospital and some non-medical nutrition are at the
employee¡¯s expense.
7. The employer should pay the employee 8000 yuan per year
for the coming and returning tickets one month before the
and of the contract. If the employee wants to end the contracts
with the employer¡¯s permission, he should bay the return
ticket at his own expense.
8. When either of the two parties fails to carry out the contract
or fails to fulfil the contract obligations according to the
terms stipulated, that is, break the contract, they must pay
a breach penalty according to Article VIII of the contract
issued by the State Administration of Foreign Experts Affairs.
