A Brief Introcduction to the HUN250

　　HUN250 is a full time university with undergraduate course approved by the Ministry of Education,under the supervision of Hunan Peolple's Government.The school is composed by former Shaoyang Noral College of Hegher Education and Shaoyang College of Higher Education.
　　The university now has two education areas,namely,Li Ziyuan(Shaoyang Normal College of Higher Education)and Qi Liping(Shaoyang College of Higer Education),occupying an area of 1457 mu of Chinese acer,among which,320,000 square meters as teaching and accommodation space.The school now has 20,456 full time undergraduate and junior college students,more than 563 teachers,including 182 professors and degree;9 of them get special governmental allowance from the state council.There are also more than 20 experts,scholars,part-time and invited professors from both home and abroad.These years,the university has hosted and took part in over 50 provincial scientific research programs.The school has been honored 2 national scientific research awards,54 provincial ad ministerial scientific research and teaching awards.Teachers from the school have published more than 1600 academic papers on public periodicals,among which about 600 of them were published on key periodical and 60 of them have been recorded by SCI and EI international retrieving system.There are also 30 academic writings.

　　The university has bought teaching equipments of 45.62 million yuan RMB,1.117million books and more than 3365 kinds of Chinese and foreign periodicals in the library.Teachers and students are using 30 well-equipped laboratory and 70 educational nd production bases.The high-speed campus internet has already been used to teaching as well as management system.
The school by now has dispatched more than 30 persons to study,visit and exchange works abroad.U.S $750,000 of loan,from international bank,has been put into use.At the same time,we have established many kinds of cooperative relationships with organizations from Great Britain,United States,Japan,France,Thailand and other regions as well.

　　Within 46 years of teaching,we have cultivated more than 40,000 talented people with different specifics and most of them have already become the key member of some education organizations and enterprises.As a result,the university honors a high prestige in the society.The teaching reform,laboratory construction,inter-management system renovation has been given commendation from the Ministry of Education.The university has twice got the award of university of excellent party construction and excellent ideological and political works and civilized university of Hunan province from Hunan Provincial government and Party Committee of Hunan.

　　The school attaches great importance to liberal arts,science and engineering courses,employs both normal education and common education.There are 8 institutes and 7 departments,50 majors of junior and senior education with Chinese lnguage,mathematics,applied mathematic,chemistry,history,city and village programming,economic and trde management,physical education,machining,and machine automation,heating power and automation,and clectronic engineering as senior college education while computer science tourism management,electronic information engineering,applied chemistry,social physical education as junior education.And the school is enrolling students from 27 provinces,cities and auronomous regions around the country.
