This University is a public comprehensive higher institution, approved by the Ministry of Education and administrated by Zhejiang Province. It is located in Linhai city, one of beautiful National History and Culture Cities with a history of over 2,000 years. Linhai city, under the jurisdiction of This City, provides fast and convenient transportation by air or by bus, as it is only about 50 kilo to the airport and near Yong-Tai-Wen Highway and ShangYu-SanMen line Highway. This University, with a long history of running the school, originated in 1907.
The university, with Linhai Campus and Jiaojiang Campus, covers an area of more than 964,570 square meters, the floor space of about 378,800 square meters. The library of the university holds books with a circulation of about 1335000 copies and Chinese and foreign periodicals with a circulation of 3100 copies. Furthermore, it has got abundant digital resources. There are numerous first-rate facilities, such as various equipments of teaching and research, which are worth more than RMB 106,820,000, standard track and field playgrounds and swimming pools.
The university consists of 14 second grade schools including School of Humanities, School of Economic and Trade Management, School of Foreign Languages, School of Mathematics and Information Engineering, School of Physics and Electronic Engineering, School of Life Sciences, School of Pharmacy and Chemical, School of Physical Culture, School of Arts, School of Education, School of Mechanical Engineering, School of Civil Engineering and Architecture，School of Medical Sciences, and School of Adult Education. The university includes 36 Bachelor Degree programs and 20 Associate Degree programs, which covers nine branches of subjects, such as literature, natural science, engineering, management, law, education, history, medicine, and economics. “Comparative Literature and World Literature”, “Ecology” and “Regional Economics” have been assessed as Key Disciplines at Zhejiang Provincial Level. And such programs as “Science of Religion”, “Condensed Matter Physics”, “Linguistics and Applied Linguistics” and “Computer Application Technology” have been assessed as Key Disciplines at This Municipal Level. “Chinese Linguistic Literature” was titled as National First Class Characteristic Specialized Major with Characteristics. The two programs, “English” and “Biological Science”, are the first group of Key Programs at Zhejiang Provincial Level. And “Pharmaceutical Engineering”, “Primary Education” and “Materials Physics” are the second group of Key Programs at Zhejiang Provincial Level.
At present This University has a large contingent of excellent teachers who are good at academic studies and knowledge education. Currently, the University has 763 full-time professional teachers. 31.07% of them have got senior professional certificates and 54.62% have got their doctor’s degree or master’s degree. Six teachers have received special allowance from the State Council. 30 teachers were granted all kinds of provincial or ministerial titles, such as National May 1st Labor Medals, National Model Teacher, National Excellent Teacher, and Outstanding Young and Middle-aged Experts with Great Contribution. 11 teachers were invited to be supervisors of MA students and doctoral students at Zhejiang University and Sichuan University. In addition, This University has employed over 30 well-known experts home and abroad as visiting professors.
With the basic objective of talent training, This University preserves its educational orientation of being regional in features, better in application, wider in coverage, and higher in education. Now the full-time enrollment of This University exceeds 13,000 students. In the last two years, a lot of students did very well in some provincial competitions, for example National University Students Electronic Design, Maths Models, Multimedia Works Design, and English Speech Contest. The employment rate of the graduates stays around 93%.
This University attaches great importance to International Communication. In recent years This University made great progress in International Communication after having communicated frequently with higher institutions all over the world. We have established communicative and cooperative relations with nearly twenty higher institutions from ten different countries, like Britain, Korea, Germany, Bulgaria, New Zealand, Argentina, Mexico, Ukraine and Sweden, with the outcome of four groups of oversea students having come to This University and five groups of native students having been sent abroad.
We will cultivate our students to be men who are professional, cultural and global-minded to continue to work towards our university’s motto: “Develop your moral being and lead a virtuous life; Waste no time and opportunity upgrading your proficiency.” More than 35000 students have been graduated from This University since it was built. Contract
Ⅰ.This contract is made in a spirit of friendly cooperation and freewill by and between Party A and Party B, whereby University, P.R.China(Party A) invites (Nationality: , Passport number: ) (Party B) for service as an English teacher on the terms and conditions stipulated in the contract.
Ⅱ.The period of service commences on July 1st,2013 ends on June 30th, 2014 .
Ⅲ.The Appendix of Contract “The Assignments of Party B and Pay and Living Conditions for the foreign Visiting Professor” is an inseparable part of the contract, and it is equally effective as the contract.
Ⅳ.Party A shall pay Party B a monthly salary of RMB 5,500.00 Yuan(after tax).
Ⅴ.The duties of Party A.
1.Party A shall acquaint Party B with Chinese relevant laws, decrees and relevant regulations of about foreign experts as well as that of Party A.
2.Party A shall instruct, inspect and assess Party B’s work.
3.Party A shall provide Party B with the necessary working and living conditions.
4.Party A shall provide Party B with cooperate colleagues.
5.Party A shall pay Party B on time.
Ⅵ.The duties of Party B
1.Party B shall observe China’s laws and decrees and not interfere in the Chinese internal affairs.
2.Party B shall observe Party A’s work regulations, the relevant regulatory regimes about foreign experts, and accept Party A’s work arrangement, instruction, inspection and assessment on Party B’s work. Without Party A’s consent, Party B shall not hold other concurrent posts irrelevant to his work.
3.Party B shall complete on time the assignments of which the quality shall be guaranteed.
4.Party B shall pay respect to the Chinese religions, policy, and not engage in any business not in conformity with his status of a visiting foreign expert.
5.Party B shall pay respect to the ethics, customs and habits of the Chinese people.
Ⅶ.The change, dissolution and termination of contract.
1.Party A and Party B shall both keep the contract. Neither party shall change, dissolute or terminate the contract without the unanimous agreement of both parties.
2.The contract can be changed, terminated only on condition that both parties have agreed on. The contract should be strictly and literally performed before both parties agree on any change.
3.Party A is entitled to inform in writing Party B of the dissolution of contract on following conditions.
(1)Party B does not perform the contract, or violates the contract, and persists although Party A has pointed out Party B’s failure to perform the contract.
(2)Owing to poor health, Party B has been absent from work 30 days in succession with a doctor’s leave certificate and is still not able to work.
4.Party B is entitled to inform in writing Party A of the dissolution of contract on following conditions.
(1)Party A fails to provide Party B with necessary working and living conditions as stipulated in the contract.
(2)Party A fails to pay Party B on time.
Ⅷ.Fine for breaking the contract.
Either party who does not perform the contract or breaks the contract has to pay another RMB 5,000.00 Yuan as fines.
If, owing to force majeure, Party B requests dissolution of the contract, he shall present Party A with certificate by certain organ. And with Party A’s consent, Party B can leave China, but the cost shall be at Party B’s expense. If Party B terminates the contract without reasonable cause, he shall pay Party A the fine for breaking the contract besides the cost of leaving China at his own expense.
If, owing to force majeure, Party A requests a dissolution of the contract, Party A shall solicit Party B’s consent, besides, the cost of Party B’s leaving China shall be paid by Party A. If Party A terminates the contract without reasonable cause, party A shall pay Party B the fine for breaking contract besides that Party A shall pay the cost of Party B’s leaving China.
Ⅸ.This contract is effective from the date of signing. It will no longer be in force upon the expiration of the stipulated period of service. New contract shall be signed at 90 days’ notice by either party prior to the date of expiration if both parties agree on.
After the date of expiration, any cost incurred by Party B within China shall be at his own expense.
Ⅹ.Arbitration
A dispute in collection with the contract shall be settled through negotiation or reconciliation. In case no settlement can be reached through negotiation or reconciliation the case shall then be submitted for arbitration in the State’s Foreign Experts Affairs Bureau.
This contract is signed on . Each form has two copies and each copy is written in Chinese and in English, both texts being equally authentic.

Appendix I
The Assignment of Party B and the Pay and Living Conditions for the Foreign Experts.
Ⅰ.The Assignment of Party B
1. Party B will take English courses. Party B will have an average of 16 lessons (40 minutes each lesson) per week. If the number of weekly lessons arranged for Party B is less than 16 during some weeks of the term, Party A reserves the right to increase the number of weekly lessons such that in some cases Party B may have more than 16 lessons in a single week, however the total number of lessons in a term shall not exceed the maximum of 16 per week averaged over the entire term (term length can vary, ranging from 17 - 21 ‘teaching weeks’ per term). This shall be unconditionally accepted by Party B.
2. Party B shall be in charge of the English corner activities once a week.
3. Party B shall give a lecture every term, and the topic is to be chosen by Party B.
Ⅱ.Salary
1.The Monthly Salary is RMB 5,500.00 Yuan (after tax), only 70% of which can be converted into foreign currency.
2.Disbursement
From the beginning to the end of the contract Party A shall pay Party B salary every month on the pay day of staff.
Ⅲ.International air ticket Expenses
Party B gets RMB8,000.00 Yuan of airfare subsidy for one year contract, half of the airfare subsidy (RMB4,000.00 Yuan) will be paid at the end of the first term and the other half will be paid at the end of the contract.
Ⅳ.In the period of Party B’s service,
1. Party A shall provide Party B with a furnished apartment with a kitchen, a washing-room (which includes a toilet, a sink, a shower, a bath tube, a washing-machine, and a heated machine), some furniture, bedding, a TV set, a refrigerator and air- conditioners, a water dispenser, microwave, gas range, gas container, computer and internet.
2. Party B should apply for his medical insurance in his own country before his leaving for China and bear all his own expenses. Party A will provide ordinary medical insurance to Party B during Party B’s service in China. Party B can go and see doctor at Hospitals appointed by this University in the period of his service in China, but the total expense shall not exceed RMB 100.00 Yuan per month. Any other medical expenses should be on Party B’s account.
3. Party A shall provide Party B with a phone. Party B may call free of charge anybody within the city proper where the university is situated. Party B himself will pay for any long distance calls outside the city proper.
4. Party B should pay the fees of electricity (which will be deducted from salary). The fees of gas shall be paid by Party B.The fees of water is paid by Party A. At the end of each semester, Party A will offer allowance of RMB 200.00 Yuan per month to Party B.
5. Party A will maintain the apartment and repair any faults with it within reasonable time.
6. Party A will assist Party B to get the residence permit and Foreign Expert Certificate and Party A will pay the expenses incurred.
Ⅴ.Furlough
1. If the period of service is one academic year, Party B shall have his paid vacation during the winter vacations of the school, and also can enjoy national public holidays such as New Year’s Day and Christmas Day(for one day off each), May Day and National Day.
2. Traveling allowance.
In the period of service of Party B, if Party B can complete the assignments as stipulated, Party B gets traveling allowance RMB2,500.00 Yuan for one year contract, half of the traveling allowance (RMB1,250.00 Yuan) will be paid at the end of the first term and the other half will be paid at the end of the contract.
Ⅵ.Sick leave
If Party B asks for sick leave, Party B should call link teacher. If the sick leave does not exceed 30 days, Party B shall get full pay.
If the sick leave exceeds 30 days, and Party A does not dissolute the contract, Party A can supply Party B 50% remuneration of Party B’s monthly salary till Party B can resume his work.
If the sick leave exceeds 30 days, and Party A terminates the contract, considering the circumstances Party A can pay partly the cost incurred by Party B when he leaves China.
Ⅶ.Leave of absence
If Party B asks for leave of absence, Party B shall acquire Party A’s permission, and Party A should arrange make-up classes. Accumulative total of leave of absence in a year (an academic year) of Party B’s service should not exceed 10 days. The leave of absence in succession should not exceed 3 days. If Party B is absent from his post without Party A’s permission, one day’s absence will incur a three-day deduction from Party B’s salary.
