Brief Introduction of This Engineering Institue

　　This Engineering Institue was constituted in 2001,authorized by the People’s Government of Hubei Province. The Institute is composed by 2 campuses, located respectively in Honggangcheng and Baiyushan, with a total area of about 300,000 square meters. The institute is a multi-functional one, which has school buildings with construction area of 95,000 square meters, a library with storage of 260,000 volumes of various books and more than 40 laboratories.
　　The Institute gives priority to technology and engineering courses, aiming at vocational education,diploma education for adults and continuing engineering education. It has 6 majors for undergraduates and 24 majors for associate degree. More than 3,000 full-time students and over 1,000 adults are studying in the Institute.
　　The Institute has a team of high quality teachers, among whom there are 104 with senior title and 177 with intermediate title. To keep up with the world pace, the Institute has been cooperating fairly well with higher educational institutes overseas, such as in the United States, in Canada, in Finland, sending visiting scholars to each other.
