Taizhou Normal College is a leading teachers’ college in Jiangsu Province and has a good reputation for the quality of its research and teaching. This School has nine departments spanning the Humanities, Social Sciences and Science and Engineering, such as: Chinese Language and Literature, Information Technology, English Language and Literature, Mathematics Science, Music, Arts, Experimental Education, Preliminary Learning and Distance Learning.
Currently there are around 7,000 students spread over three different campuses of the college, 80% of these will be teachers to different primary schools and high schools after graduation. In recent assessments This School has regularly ranked among the top Jiangsu Teachers’ Colleges for the quality of its research and teaching, with many of its departments rated as ‘outstanding’ by national standards.
In January, 2000, This School incorporated the former two normal schools and with the help and support of Jiangsu Government, This School cooperated with Nanjing Normal University (NNU) and Taizhou College of This School was founded as a result.
Now both This School and TCNNU are offering three-year courses, four-year courses (BA courses) and five-year courses. Until recently, we have already invited more than forty overseas teachers and teaching experts teaching in both colleges, most of them have done a very good job and have been respected by both our teaching staff and students due to their excellent working. All of those overseas friends feel quite at home and they always tell us that teaching here is quite an experience.
