  The This This College, owned and operated by the Shandong Province government, is located in Jining City, a city of ancient China, noted for its beauty and also as the hometown of Confucious and Mencius. It has got an other campus in Rizhao Shandong Province. Rizhao City is on the Yellow Sea and has the reputation of being the" Hawaii in the East".
  The college was founded in 1952 and now it has 2 schools and 8 departments : Clinical Medicine school, Adult Continue Education School. Preventive Medicine Department, Nursing, Psychiatry, Pharmacology, Information Science,Social Science, Preclinical, Teaching Practice Department. Under these departments are 65 teaching research sections, 9 research institutes, 18 research laboratories, one of which is the institute of Occupational Health and Environmental Medicine, the key laboratory during the 9th 5-years plan of Universities in Shandong Province. The college now has 7 affiliated hospitals,50 teaching hospitals.
  There are 8831 undergraduates and 6550 adult students enrolled at present. And the college has got 500 full time teachers: 202 professors and associate professors, 119 lectures. In addition,there are 200 part-time professors and associate professors from other institutions.
  The area of the college proper is 1286 Mu with a building area of 300,000 square meters. The school library houses a collection of over 700,000 books and 1800 Chinese and foreign periodicals. The total value of the teaching apparatus and equipment is 64,290,000 RMB.
  While making a great effort to provide quality education,the college also takes vigorous actions to promote scientific research. Since 1987, 596 studies have been carried out,362 of which appraised; 5822 academic theses and 541 treatises have been published at home and abroad; To enhance academic exchange the sponsors the < Journal of This This College> < Behavioral Medical Science>, both of which are issued at home and abroad.
  Since its founding, the college has educated nearly 20,000 medical professionals, many of whom have become the backbones of medical science and have made great contributions to the development of the medical provision in China.

 Sample Contract

This appendix is an inseparable part of the contract and has equal effect.
 
I. Party B shall not charge for English instruction to anyone or any organization without the consent of Party A.
 
II. The salary that Party A provided is 4000 RMB/M. And the working time limit of Part B is from September 2006 to June 30th,2007.
 
III.. Classes shall be held on Party A’s main campus in RIZHAO, Shandong unless otherwise agreed upon by both Parties. If both Parties agree to relocate to a new teaching facility, all contract terms still apply. 
 
IV. Party B shall work a maximum of 5 days per week, totaling no more than 10 hours per week. Party B in educational institution under one academic year contract is entitiled to a paid(winter or summer) vacation.

V. As stated under Contract Section V, Part 5, for duration of the contract, including holidays, Party A shall provide the necessary living conditions for Party B. These living conditions shall include a private three bedroom flat, separate from students, fully furnished with bed and new bedding, sofa, refrigerator, TV, telephone, air-conditioning, washing machine, shower-bath, heating system, stove, microware oven, cooking and dining utensils, computer with unlimited Internet connection. All utilities, water, electricity, gas, internet, and local calls shall be paid by Party A.
VI Party A shall provide round way international air ticket (international economy class air ticket for the nearest distance between China and the country for the employed party) and the harder-sleeper train ticket to the campus of China.
 
VII Party A shall provide Party B with required working visas, permits, and documents for the duration of the contract and cover all relevant fees.
 
.VIII Providing free medical care.The employed party should receive medical treatment in the hospital foreigners appointed by the employing party, otherwise, the expenses shall be covered by the employed party. Expense for registration, transpotation for medical care,tooth inlaying, tooth fulled, face lifting, massage, glasses, meals in hospital, tonics not for medical purpose, and doctor’s house calls shall be covered by the employed party.
 
IX  Party B shall contact the Dean of the English Department for any scheduling changes;
 
X.  Private affairs leaving of the employed party shall be approved by the host institution. The host institution will deduct the salary by day. In the contract term (one year or one academic year), the private leaves should not exceed 10 days. The contious private affairs leave shall be no morethan 3 days, and two days’ salary will be deduct for each day thereafter.
 
XI. Party B shall be allotted six days paid sick leave per contract term. If Party B incurs more than six days six leave, Party A may deduct 200 RMB per sick day.
 
XII. The party employed is entitled to the following holidays and festivals in China:
New Year’s Day,Spring Festival, May Day, National Day any other holidays stipulated by laws and regulations.
 
XIII. The party employed is entitled to the following festivals and holidays corresponding to their nationalities and religiona:
One day for Christmas.
 
XIV Party B may terminate the contract, without incurring a breach penalty, if any situation arises that jeopardizes the health or physical well being of Party B.
