A Brief Introcduction to This Foreign Languge School

　　This Foreign Languge School is a comeplete middle school which combines the basic education with foreign language teaching.In 1998, our school was listed as one of the National Foreign Language Experimental Centre as Schools. Our school has sucessively been awarded as Electeonic Equipment Model School. More than 2400 students are studying in our school. The school has aboundant qualified teachers; among those 160 teachers and empioyees, 128 employees are senior and semi-senior teachers.90% of the teachers have finished graduate courses.One teacher has got master degree and 6 teachers are doing their postgraduate study. 12 teachers have been chosen as Ourstanding teachers over the province.

　　The school has advanced teaching facilities, it has been equipped with multiple function sound lab, multi-media electronic classroom,electronic reading room and biology laboratory. Now the campus web has already been set up . We have also realized the multi-media long distance education with the middle school attached to Bei Jing University.

　　Our school has made great achievement in teachinging the recent three years, 330 students have got excellent results in all kinds of national and provincial competitions.The school has been holding a leading posting in High School Entrance Examination in the past 7 years,and three students have won the first place all over Jiu Jiang city.We have also got good results in the Entrance Examination to the college. In 2002, 96% of senior studnets passed the entrance examination.

　　Our school has frequent educational exchanges with other countries.We have friendly interschool cooperration with USA,UK,Australia,Japan,New Zealand and Thailand. The school has also achived agreement with Chairo Christian School to exchange teachers and students each other year. In March, 2003, mayor of Baw Baw Shire visited our school. The school provides three foreign languages study; English Japanese and German, we have employed 19 foreign teachers from Australia,Japan Germany and Canada teaching in our school.

　　Adhering to the advanced principles of running schools, This Foreign Languge School seizes every opportunity to enlarge scope of our school.We are working hard to prepare setting up a new Foreign Language School which covers an area of 300 mu. We will do our best to make our schol the first class schol in Jiang Xi Province and one of the best school in the nation.

Commentary

　　Jiujiang, the famous history city with Mount Lushan in the south and Yangtze River in the nouth inlay the Beijing Kowloon Railway like a bright jewel. Jiujiang Foreign Language School is situated in the center of the ancient city near the beautiful Gan Tang Lake.

　　With the deepening of reforming and opening up of our country, the economy of Jiujiang grows vigorously, It's frequent to associate day by day to the outside.

　　Complying with the paces of the times, our school has developed into the characteristic school of foreign language and become the window exchanged in opening to the outside world .Our school has concluded for the friendly school with Chairo Christian School in BawBaw shire the flowers of the friendship are beautiful and magnificent.

　　On Sep.27 in 1999, the delegation led by Mr.Walace , board chair of Chairo, visited our city. Du Wan an, vice mayor of government. Cao Sheng yan, director of Jiujiang Foreign Affair Office. Wu Ji yuan, vice director of education Committe and some other officials attended the ceremony. The delegation from Chairo was warmly welcome by all of the teachers and the students .On Sep. 30 in 1999, Jiujiang Foreign Language School and Chairo Christian School signed the protocol of “concluding the friendly school”.

　　At parting, all member of the delegation visited Yangtze Bridge and urban scenic spot. They also visited the cultural heritage of the world, the famous tourist attraction-Mount Lushan.

　　The economical development of Jiujiang at full speed,the beautiful scenery and aboundant human view of Mount Lushan left the deep impression on guests.

　　On the summer vacation of 2000, Miss Cheng Ping, English teacher of our school and Yan Ying shuang, student of our school, went to Australia to exchange for a month. In Nov. 2000, Chairo Christian School appointed Mr. and Miss Smith to come to our school to carry out teaching and exchange for a month. We held a grand welcoming ceremony for their coming.

　　Their flexible teaching ways were highly praised by our teachers and students. During the visit, Mr. and Miss Smith and students forged the deep friendship.

In Nov. 2001,Jiujiang Foreign Language School engaged Miss Judy Park from Australia as English teacher. At the same time, we welcome two teachers with abundant teaching experience. Mr. Anndy Callow and Mr. Steve Mesel. They carried on teaching to exchange. Their humorous and witty teaching was liked deeply by students. Their gifted in many ways, vigorous, sincere person qualities have strengthened the communication and integration between the teachers of China and the teachers of Australia.

Mr. Ou Yang Chun, director of Education Committe specially gave the Chinese knot symbolizing friendship to the guests and wish the friendship between China and Australia to live forever.

On March 5,2002, Kalin.Sdul from Baw Baw Shire and other four people in the company of Feng Wang, vice director of municipal government and Wu Ji yuan,vice director of Education Committee. came to visit our school

In Aug. 2002,our students Wu Si and Shu Chang chosen by Education Coeeittee went to Australia to exchange for a month.

In Sep. 2002, David from England and Seb from Germany came to our school for teaching.

In Nov. 2002,Mr. and Mrs. Tompson led four students to visit our school to exchange for two weeks.

In March 2003,we engaged Mr. Rick Walsh from Australia as English teacher.

In April 2003, we engaged Mr.Jason and his girl friend ,Miss Jennifer Hamill from Canada as English teacher.

In Oct.2003, it's on the occasion of the celebration of the 10th anniversary of friendship treat bwteen Baw Baw shire and Jiu Jiang, the Goverment Delegation of Australia came to visit our school on Oct.1 . The Teachers and Students Delegation also came to visit our school on Oct.11.

In Nov.2003, we engaged Mr.Emmanuel Deniau from France as English and French teacher.

At the time,Mr.and Mrs.Tompson came to our school to exchange for two weeks again on Nov.18.

On Nov.20, 2003, Mr.MuShanZiLang ,Council Chairperson of economy exchange friendly association between Japan and China of Li Yuan came to visit our school.

Jiujiang Foreign Language school are developing. A modernized new school will be set up in the near future. Our school continues strengthening communication and friendship exchange with the friendly schools of Australia.

At last , we wish that our friendship between Australia and China is everlasting and unchanging.

Contract Terms

Requirements for Appointment for Foreign Language School In Jiujiang

1. native speaker in English; bachelor degree or above.

2 . at least 1year teaching experience; be able to assume 20 class hours' work each week; competent in teaching courses for Chinese senior or junior students.And be able to teach pupils and college students.

3. under 50 years old; being in good health, without serious disease.

4. appointment will normally be on half a year or one year contract.

For each foreign teacher, we will provide a rent-free flat including kitchen ,bathroom with complete household appliances, including air conditioner, washing machine, color television, telephone, refrigerator, microwave oven, etc. Fringe benefits include annual traveling expenses. Monthly salary will be negotiable.
