About This Institute of This University
 At the beginning of 1984, Zhongshan C.P.Committee and Zhongshan Municipal government decided to set up an institute of higher learning of its own with its campus at the foot of the picturesque Lianfeng Mountain, for which a preparatory Committee for the construction of Sunwen University was formed in February that year.
The Provincial government approved the inception of the preparatory committee for the construction of Sunwen Specialized High School in April 1985.
In October 1986, with the approval of the National Education Committee, “Zhongshan University Sunwen College” was officially founded.
In September 1995, with the approval of the National Education Committee, the college changed its administrative system, being re-named “Zhongshan College”, jointly run by Guangdong Province and Zhongshan Municipality with the latter playing the dominant role in its administration.  In 2002, Zhongshan College was merged into UESTC with the ratification of the Ministry of Education, this starting a new chapter in the further development of the college.
This This University, one of the key universities of the “211 Project” and “985 Project”, was founded in 1958 and has been listed as one of the universities co-build by the province and the Ministry. She’s offering 29 undergraduate degrees and 60 postgraduate degrees.
This Institute This University, there are 8 departments in the campus with over 500 fulltime stuffs, offing more than 50 programs from diploma, undergraduate and postgraduate. The campus is situated in the heart of the exciting city of Zhongshan and provides a stimulating environment for over 10000 students
