COLLEGE OVERVIEW

This College is a premier College that is set up independently, accredited by Heilongjaing Provincial Government. It is formed by Mudanjiang Forestry School, which is a key secondary technical school at national level, Mudanjiang Forestry Normal School; Mudanjiang Forestry Cadre School; Mudanjiang Forestry Mechanic School ,and Mechanical and Electrical School of Dongjing Town. It is an ordinary higher college which is kept on record by Education Ministry an belongs to Heolongjiang Forestry Industry Bureau.
 The college totally covers an area of 50 million square meters, with a campus area of 600,000 square meters and a construction area of 130,000 square meters. The library has 305,000 books. The teaching equipments are worth 20.36 million Yuan. The fixed assets are worth 120 million Yuan. There are 12 educational and professional teaching departments: Ecology Engineering Department, Materials Engineering Department, Architectural Engineering Department, Information Engineering Department, Machinery Electricity Engineering Department, Economy Management Department, Normal Section, Training Section and Secondary Section.
The college consists of 42 faculties, concerning several academic fields, such as information, management, electrical and mechanical and architecture, with ecology and biology as main subjects. It is an ordinary higher vocational technical college with distinct forestry education features and multi-subjects. It enrolls students all over the country.
The full-time teaching staff is 240, including 240, 183 professors or vice professors , 49 teachers with postgraduate degrees, 93 teachers with “Double Quality Titles” , 16 subject pioneers of Forestry Industry system and 3 famous teachers at province level. There are 941 published articles, 137 teaching textbooks and monographs, 14 scientific and research achievement prizes above provincial level and 8 national practical technology patents
The college has well facilities for experiment and practice. There are 77 modern laboratories and experimental woodland and farms of 5000 hectares. It has established more than 60 close, loose or temporary school-enterprises practice bases and a well-equipped practice base with advanced management. We also have 44 practice bases outside school in Shanghai Merrylin Limited Company in the three reform experiment specialties at provincial level: Garden and Flower Technology, Modern Furniture Technology and Natural Forest Protection Technology. All these can offer the necessary conditions for the students’ internship-employment integration.
 There are now 5211 students in school. The comprehensive employment rate is 90.05% in 2005. The employment rate was 94.26% at the end of 2006, which is ranked the 5 th in the higher vocational colleges in the whole province. In 2007, the employment rate for one time reached 90.22%. The employment rate of Modern Furniture and Garden and Flower has reached 100% . At present, more than 90% students who will be graduated in 2008 have signed employment agreements .
The college insists on the idea of running school: Students-oriented and Responsible for the Students. Based on forestry, facing to the local, serving the society,the college is training skilled professional talents with high quality that the society needs. In the teaching management, we carry out credit system management, choosing courses system, choosing teachers system, elastic educational system and factory-learning alternating system with vocational education features. In teaching, we cultivate students’ scientific spirits and innovation thought with the teaching approaches, such as “Differences” and “Participating”, establishing practice teaching system from developing basic skills and professional skill to technology application ability. Combined with vocational qualification accreditation, we organize the practice teaching activities, making the students possess the ability to adapt posts and technology application ability. For years, we have cultivated over 80,000 talents for forest area , local economy construction and social development.
As one of the Internet schools of Sino-German Forestry Education and Training Project, we have participated the cooperation of German –aid project and as one of the training bases of Sino-Japan forestry ecology cooperation, currently we also take part in the Sino-Japan Forestry Ecology Training Project. At the same time, we have established friendly partnerships with Far-Eastern State Technical University in Russian, Lafalce University in Quebec, Canada and Styli Institute in Malaysia. We have set up a close relationship with International Commerce Chamber Education Group in Australia. In particular, we have obtained the qualification to recruit foreign students. Now the International Student Center has been set up and some overseas students are studying here.
For years, the level of running school and talents training ability of the college have been widely recognized. In 2001 and 2003, our college was awarded Advanced Unit of Three Cultivating People by Education Department of Heilongjiang Province, Economy and Trade Commission and Labor Office. In 2002, it was awarded as Advanced Unit of the National Vocational Education by Education Ministry of People's Republic of China and other six ministries. In 2003, it was named the Civilized Pacesetter at provincial level by the Provincial Government and Provincial Party Committee . In 2005, it was rated as Garden-Like Unit at provincial level. In 2005 and 2006, it was evaluated to be Famous School that Students and Their Parents Prefer by Heilongjiang Daily Newspaper . In 2006, it was rated as one of the excellent schools by Education Ministry in the Assessment of Talents Training Level of Higher Vocational Colleges and Institutes. In 2007, it was designated as Model of Higher Vocational College of Heilongjiang Province. In 2008, we got May 1st Labor Certification of Heilongjiang Province. With the times progress and Higher vocational education development , All the faculty and staff inherit and carry forward the fine tradition and the style of working hard , marching towards higher, more brilliant goal.
CONTRACT
Ⅰ. Party A This College wishes to engage the service of Party B as Foreign Teacher. The two parties, in a spirit of friendly cooperation, agree to sign this contract and pledge to fulfill conscientiously all the obligations stipulated in it.
Ⅱ.The period of service will be from the 20th of f Febuary,2008to the15th of January,2009
Ⅲ The duties of Party B (see attached pages)
Ⅳ The Payment of Part B is according to the work amount 5000.0 Yuan RMB( after tax ).He will be paid monthly.
Ⅴ Party A's Obligations
1. Party A shall introduce to Party B the laws, decrees and relevant regulations enacted by the Chinese government, the Party A' work system and regulations concerning administration of foreign experts.
2. Party A shall conduct direction, supervision and evaluation of Party B's work.
3. Party A shall provide Party B with necessary working and living conditions.(not include food)
4. Party A shall provide co-workers.
5. Party A shall pay Party B's salary regularly by the month.
Ⅵ Party B's obligations
1. Party B shall observe the laws, decrees and relevant regulations enacted by the Chinese government and shall not interfere in China's internal affairs.
2. Party B shall observe Party A's work system and regulations concerning administration of foreign experts and shall accept Party A's arrangement, direction, supervision and evaluation in regard to his/her work. Without Party A's consent, Party B shall not render service elsewhere or hold concurrently any post unrelated to the work agreed on with Party A.
3. Party B shall complete the tasks agreed on schedule and guarantee the quality of work.
4. Party B shall respect China's religious policy, and shall not conduct religious activities incompatible with the status of an expert.
5. Party B shall respect the Chinese people's moral standards and customs.
6. Part B enjoy the following holidays: New Year’s Day, the Spring Festival, Labors’ Day, National Day and other holidays provided by law and regulations.
7. During Party B’s working time, Party B Pay for the medical expenses and fees for using cars. But Party A should try to offer the necessary conditions.
8.Part B should pay for the fees for the resident certificate and visa. But Part B should offer necessary help.
Ⅶ Revision, Cancellation and Termination of the Contract
1. Both parties should abide by the contract and should refrain from revising, canceling, or terminating the contract without mutual consent.
2. The contract can be revised, canceled, or terminated with mutual consent. Before both parties have reached an agreement, the contract should be strictly observed.
3. Party A has the right to cancel the contract with a written notice to Party B under the following conditions;
(1) Party B does not fulfill the contract or does not fulfill the contract obligations according to the terms stipulated, and has failed to amend after Party A has pointed it out.
(2) According to the doctor's diagnosis, Party B cannot resume normal work after a continued 30 day sick leave.
4. Party B has the right to cancel the contract with a written notice to party A under the following conditions:
(1) Party A has not provided Party B with necessary working and living conditions as stipulated in the contract.
(2) Party A has not paid Party B as scheduled.
Ⅷ Breach Penalty
When either of the two parties fails to fulfill the contract or fails to fulfill the contract obligations according to the terms stipulated, that is, breaks the contract, it must pay a breach penalty of US$500 to 2,000 (or the equivalent in RMB).
If Party B asks to cancel the contract due to events beyond control, it should produce certifications by the department concerned, obtain Party A's consent, and pay its own return expenses; If Party B cancels the contract without valid reason, it should pay its own return expenses and pay breach penalty to Party A. If Party A asks to cancel the contract due to events beyond control, with the consent of Party B, it should pay Party B's return expenses; if Party A cancels the contract without valid reason, it should pay Party B's return expenses and pay a breach penalty to Party B.
Ⅸ The appendix of this contract is an inseparable part of the contract and has equal effect
Ⅹ This contract takes effect on the date signed by both parties and will automatically expire when the contract ends. If either of the two parties asks for a new contract, it should forward its request to another party 20 days prior to the expiration of the contract, and sign the new contract with mutual consent. Party B shall bear all expenses incurred when staying on after the contract expires.
Ⅺ Arbitration
The two parties shall consult with each other and mediate any disputes which may arise about the contract. If all attempts fail, the two parties can appeal to the organization of arbitration for foreign experts affairs in the State Administration of Foreign Experts Affairs and ask for a final arbitration.
This Contract is signed at This Forestry Vocation-Technical College , in duplicate, February 2th,2008, in the Chinese and English languages ,both texts being equally authentic.
