HUB301 is an institution of higher learning. Engineering is its main discipline, which develops coordinately with other disciplines like Medicine, Economics, Literature, Management, Law and Science.The University is in Wuhan by the Yangzi River with its three campuses respectively located in Qingshan District, Hongshan district and Wuchang District.
The University has a long history. It grew out of Hubei Secondary Technical School, which was founded in 1907 by Zhang Zhidong , governor of four provinces in central and southern China in the late Qing Dynasty .In 1958 the University began its 4-year degree program .In May 1995,Under the ratification of the former State Education Committee and the former Ministry of Metallurgical Industry of China ,the former Wuhan Iron and Steel University ,Wuhan Construction Engineering College and Wuhan Medical College for Metallurgical Industry were merged into Wuhan Yejin University of Science and Technology . which ,with the approval of the state Ministry of Education and the government of Hubei Province , changed its name into HUB301 (HUB301) on April 28,1999.
